AsGuardian Shield

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy explains what information AsGuardian Shield (asguardianshield.com) collects when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We use this in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.
  • Contact form: if you send us a message, we store the name, email address and message you submit so we can reply. We do not add you to marketing lists.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and secure the site.

Our free security tools

  • Pwned Password Checker: your password is hashed in your browser and only the first five characters of the hash are sent to Have I Been Pwned’s Pwned Passwords service (k-anonymity). Your password is never sent to us or to that service.
  • IP Address Lookup: the IP address you enter is looked up server-side using a third-party IP geolocation service (ipwho.is). We do not store lookups.
  • Domain Security Report: we fetch the domain’s certificate, HTTP headers and DNS records live to produce the report. We do not store the domains checked.
  • Email Header Analyzer: headers you paste are analyzed to produce the report; avoid pasting message bodies or confidential content.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer or vendor may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. See our affiliate disclosure.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure and improve the site and our content.
  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which content is useful.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Content blockers and privacy-focused browsers such as Brave or Firefox can prevent analytics from loading.
  • You can ask us to access or delete a message you sent through the contact form, using the same form.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or state laws in the US), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal data. Contact us through our contact page to make a request.

Data retention and security

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. We use reputable hosting providers and limit access to stored data.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
