Are these tools really free, or is this a “free trial” list?
Every tool listed is either fully open-source or has a permanently free tier with real functionality — not a 14-day trial. Where a paid tier exists (more storage, higher scan limits, team features), we note it, but the free tier is genuinely usable on its own.
How do I pick the right tool for what I need?
